Kaguya had the sharingan according to Hagoromo. However we can all see that her eye seems like an advanced sharingan.
People and wiki at least, call it a Rinnesharingan.

So Indra's eyes are a diluted version of her eyes at least.

No where was said that Hagoromo had a sharingan or Magekyou indeed.
No info in the manga supports it either. So we can not assume for now that he did.

I know that Indra's spiral is his Mangekyou design.

Kaguya is the Juubi so she might have seen Amaterasu from within Hago, since bijuus can witness what their hosts experience. It's possible Indra used his dojutsu against Hago during his training.

Also, the Juubi chakra is hers, so if she was cast in the moon she should've still been capable of seeing everything Hagoromo experienced because the person's will is in their chakra. Orochimaru was able to see everything Sasuke experienced because Sasuke had his chakra stored in the Curse Mark.

i thought its now common knowledge that its Sharinnegan (easier for me to say it like that) > rinnegan > sharingan..

so Kaguya obviously had the most powerful doujutsus (sharinnegan + tenseigan) only activated to a certain point.

So if she has sharinnegan and had twins. that power is divided into two parts (maybe equal? although unconfirmed)
Hagaromo inherited the rinnegan while Hamura inherited tenseigan (speculation but why not?)

So Hagaromo had two kids and thus that power is once more divided.
Indra getting the EMS then his kids get the MS then their descendants get various version of the tomoed Sharingan.

They are still capable, just the thing that they started of with is different. it varies on their lineage to Indra.
All of them are capable of getting the Rinnegan or hell, Sharinnegan.

So in hypothesis, if Sarada were to be Sasuke's and Karin's kid, She'd have a rinnegan (Although Uzumaki's aren't a direct descendant of Ashura but rather a distant relative)

Well they said that shes the Juubi, so it only make sense that she knows whats going on due to the fact that shes in the moon. She can see everything. Just has to be at night. but its ok though cuz shes got them byakugan and sharingan to see clearly and from far away
