Because this make no sense, and is still confusing me. And If I call people out on it, i'm bound to get flamed. So, I simply want to know whats with this idea, of them being equals?

They were portrayed as equals when they fought the Juubi, leading me to believe that Pre-Jin Hagoromo = Hagoromo's brother.

I also believe that the brothers defeated the Juubi before sealing it, leading me to think that. Hagoromo's brother = 50% Juubi.

That's my take. Feel free to criticise or disagree, since the reasoning is based on assumptions which may be unreasonable. We know very little about him. I hope he has some relevance to the plot, otherwise his sole purpose was to de-hype Hagoromo. It would have been better to have it the way Madara told it, with Hagoromo being Kaguya's only son who defeated the Juubi.
