Well I want to do a quick analysis of this shady power that is the juubi, the fruit and all that came directly from it. The best place to start is most likely the sage and his brother.
When they sealed the Juubi they were already very powerfull, so what came from the Juubi and what came from Kaguya? Well, I believe Hagomoro got the Juubi's chakra (9 tailed beasts-ying), while his brother got the Juubi's body (Gedo Mazou-yang).
The chakra changed Hagomoro and transformed the sharingan he inherited from his mother into a Rinnegan, it was not the same one from the Juubi or Sasuke since he lacked the part that his brother had.
He passed that powerfull chakra and his eyes to his sons, although both had chakra so strong that could take giant spiritual creature form (susano and whatever ashura does), only one got his sharingan genes. The other got a more training related power, and as the tailed beasts him and his decendents could use all kind of jutsu and chakra, juubi`s wood release for example. They would be know as clan of a Thousand skills.
As for his brother, something similar happened, he also passed part of his power to his children. One got the Byakugan that he himself inherited from his mother, and the other got the strong life force and power of the Mazou, namely: Hyugas and Uzumakis.
You guys might find that the Gedo Mazou had to be with Hagomoro as well since he was the one that created the moon to protect it, as also this
But it is very possible that Hago`s brother died very early and left the Mazou in his brother care, who would either seal it whithin himself or use it like Madara did, and only sent it to the moon when were near death. A early death would also explain why no one has ever heard of that brother, he did nothing to put himself in history like the sage because he simply did not live long.
Well, I`m sure this theory needs a couple of ajustments, but for those who agree I leave a question, whatt would come out of a child between Hinata and Naruto? Marijuanna out.
