Since madara mixed his indra chakra with hashiramas ashura chakra and awakened the rinnegan would it be fair to say hashirama wouldve awakened the rinnegan or RSM if he fused madaras indra chakra with his ashura chakra

Yes.

It's likely Hashirama would have had to take Madara's EMS eyes though, rather than just a chunk of his arm, as Hashirama's power lies within his body, and Madara's within his eyes.

This makes perfect sense

It's possible that if Indra's transmigrant implanted Ashura's transmigrant's DNA into himself, that the Rinnegan would progress his base eye through the Sharingan evolutions, the same way witnessing Rin's death allowed Obito and Kakashi to skip through 3T on the way to unlocking MS.

Although, because EMS requires an outside source, it's possible it would stop at MS.

And continue to Kaguya, that if Hagoromo's chakra adn Hamura's chakra combine, you would get Kaguya's chakra....

No it's not. Because Naruto didn't need Indra's chakra to awaken RSM. Giving Ashura Indra's chakra doesn't give them the capability to awaken anything. They'll just how six path power.

Hagormoo made it clear on who had the potential to awaken Rinnegan power and Black Zetsu said all the ashura incarnates failed to do so.

Well the Juubi is Kaguya's chakra. So since Hagoromo became her Jinchuriki, and split the juubi's sabilities between Indra and Ashura (Sharingan and Mokuton) it's safe to say that you don't need Hamura's chakra at all.

Yes. The Sharingan is not needed because the Rinnegan is not actually an evolution, yet a completely different eye technique. Someone mentioned Zetsu stating all the Ashura incarnates failed in awakening the Rinnegan, which if a correct translation, is true, however it's a terrible point when you realize all the Indra incarnates failed as well besides Madara, who was an anomaly. He wouldn't be able to use the Six Paths Sage Mode though because that's a mode given from the combined chakra of the Tailed Beasts.

yes as it was explained by Lord 1st.

Hashi said that when the Uchiha's awaken their eyes, their chakra becomes concentrated in the part of the brain that is responsible for the optical sense, hence the eyes. Unlike the Hyuga's byakugan where the chakra converge into the eyes.

It is just easier to acquire the sharingan by taking the sharingan eyes however it is not required. As further proved by the asspull done by Obito when he gave his chakra to Kakashi, Kakashi had awaken his OWN sharingan. yes that was his own. Since he has been imbued by Obito's charka, his sharingans' abilities are the same as Obito's.

So no. Sharingan can be awaken. Whereas the Hyuga's where they are born with it.

Rinnegan can be awaken as well as if an Uchiha acquires Senju/Body chakra.

Hashirama would've awakened the Rinnegan, not RSM. RSM would've come from being the Juubi's Jinchuuriki, which is possible when you have the Rinnegan.

Naruto got RSM because he received the Sage's chakra directly and it got mixed with Ashura's chakra and the chakr of the 9 bijuu, as opposed to Madara who only had Indra's mix with Ashura's and used the Gedo.

No, the EMS eyes would have evolved into Rinnegan like they did for Madara because it's a product of Indra and Ashura's chakra merging.

He would've awakened the Sage's power the same way as Madara did, meaning he would require the Juubi to awaken RSM. The only way for him to unlock RSM without becoming a JuubiJin is to have the Sage give him chakra directly like he did to Naruto.
