Guy and Lee: Potential Top Edo Team

This is my first post, so I'm sorry if it seems noobish, but here it is:

In the original Naruto, during Lee's and Garra's match, Kakashi said that if one is to release the eighth of the inner eight gates, they could potentially become stronger than the hokage, whom was Hiruzen at the time, only at the cost of their life. That saying, if guy and lee are edos, then they technically cannot die from using the eighth gate. I just wanted to know if they could potentially become a top edo tag team.

I know Lee has only been confirmed on 5 gates tops, but he might actually be able to go higher in the last three years.

Edit: Smh, yes, and they indeed would be top tier, as far as protecting goes... As they would not allow for other Edo's to get a shot in at attacking anyone... One would think.

It's very much possible but don't forget that opening the eigth gate also does a lot of wear and tear damage to the user. So maybe they could but the able bodies used for their edo's might give out from the amount of force exerted. Nice theory btw. +rep

ive also wondered what an edo using the gates would be like, and what the physical cost would be of the technique, it surprises me that no edo has used it, i mean the gates are accessable by everyone with training , so everyone has the physical capacity for it, why not let 1 or 2 edo's go 3rd gate, these are elite nin im sure some know how

That's true but then wouldn't that kinda kill the point of the eigth gate? If the bodies kept reforming from the constant opening of the final gate it'd lose its touch pretty quick, don'tcha think? :shrug:

Yeah so you would basically have a pair of at least mid to high level kages to contend with for a long time.
