I wonder if Madara has seen anyone reach the 8th gate. B/c as far as we know only three people can use the gates: Guy can reach the 7th, Lee can reach at least the 6th and Kakashi I think did 1 or 2.

Remember, when we were first told about the 8th Gate, "Kage" was short-hand for "strongest in the world." Now that we know that there exist Shinobi who have surpassed the various Kage (Tobito, Madara, Naruto, Sasuke, etc.), maybe it would instead say something like "The 8th Gate allows you to temporarily gain the power of the SO6P, but in exchange, the user will surely die."

8 Gates Guy would be pretty brutal if he used it as a surprise tactic. It's true that he can't handle perfect susanoo and some of the more complicated Jutsu the Uchiha have, BUT as a surprise ability it could do some real damage. Just consider how ridiculously fking fast he would be. He could have his fist elbow deep in madara's chest before he could make a move.

the gates would be a big fight for any1, but since madara is edo tensei thats a problem for degrading tech on the body.

If Gai opens the 8th gate, he'll probably be faster & stronger then the Raikage..but only for a few minutes. After that it's instant death, isn't it? I think he might stay back after seeing madara, let Naruto handle it, and retreat with kakashi, who by the way should be passed out after using Kumai, what?, 4-5 times, isn't it after he used it once fighting sasuke he couldn't even run..?
