The official Twitter account for Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann revealed on Monday that the franchise will have an "important announcement" on Wednesday. The announcement will be made in a television commercial that will air during the 10th anniversary rebroadcast of the anime on Wednesday.

I'm so happy. I don't want a movie or sequel. I don't care if the movie is a retelling. It's fine the way it is, a masterpiece and shouldn't be touched.
