Please, please do not do this if you ever meet an armed robber. It is foolishly dangerous, suicidal even.

it will be the same as pulling a real gun in front of them. you would give the robbers a good reason to shoot you. in the video you put (i admit i didn't see the whole video) there was a bunch of robbers in a store and a grandma pulled a gun at them and started shooting, the robbers quickly ran for their lives. now imagine she had a fake gun that made noises and sparks? the rubbers would run away but the grandma couldn't actully kill any of them. and i'm sure no one who buys a gun "for protection" wants to kill someone.

if the robbers don't run away but start shooting at the person holding the gun, you endangered yourself even more by showing it off. there are 6 robbers all with guns and one old grandma, which one do you think will most likely die in this fire fight? she is lucky the robbers didn't start shooting back or it wouldn't have ended without a death.

Depending what the other person is having as a weapon, if it's a knife then a simple flash of a gun will be enough. If he has a gun then I'd be dead before I can fire mine. So no, either way I wouldn't shoot the person in robbing me.

It is all situational. If there were no guns, bad people would use something else to attack other people such as pocket knives, bats, 2X4s, etc. But, if no one had guns, the mortality rate in the US would go down. If only all gun owners could not be so stupid and shoot people. z.z
