[Suggestion] Guests

First, I shall address something I have noticed, that some people may not have realized. As a member we can view almost every section, but as a guest there are a few sections they can't view. Two of those sections being the Fan Art and Fan Fiction sections. Those are the biggest ones that stood out to me, since the only other sections are the jutsu in RP (I understand that), and the Forum Games section (I also understand that). The only thing I couldn't understand is why they can't view the Fan Art or FanFiction section.

My suggestion, is that Guests should be able to view the Fan Art and FanFiction sections. Even though it is a small thing, I think it could be a good idea.


1. Here are some extra things I want to point out, since I thought some people would bring these up. The first thing I want to bring up is for the people who would said, "Guests can make accounts."

• For those who do Fan Art and FanFiction, some may only upload their work on this site and may want their friends to see it. However, if their friends do not watch/read Naruto, then they probably wouldn't want to make an account.

2. The second thing I would like to point out is for those who would suggest go to an art or writing website.

• For this I'll point out is that with art and writing, it's a serious thing if someone tries to steal. I know that's also a big rule on NB as well, no stealing art work or writing. If someone happens to see a piece of art or writing that's on NB on another site, then they may accuse those people of stealing.

I would like to hear opinions on this. I also believe if guests had access to these sections they may end up being more interested in the forum.

I'm with you on this one. Guests should be allowed to view most sections so they'll get more interested in our forum

I agree, as the guests will see that this forum is more than just about Naruto. Some guests "might" be interested in writing or reading stories/ poems and that would stimulate them more to register.

If you give them access to it, they might not join. I only read for a year and only joined for some of the advantages (like viewing sections), not to post.

Either way, I was just saying what I did to join and how this change would have prevented me from joining probably. Probably doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things but just putting it out there.

Actually, to experiment to see which sections that guests can see I went on NB on Chrome as a guest. In the Fan Base section the Fan Art and FanFiction section wasn't there.

Noticed this when I logged out the other day. Part of what makes this site cool is that there are communities within the communities which stoke people's creative natures. Many more people would be coerced into forming an account if they could see the fan writing and art, which helps underscore that this isn't just a site for trolls and strict manga/anime discussion only.

NB contests Section is visible and it shows that we have those categories at the forum to make it possible to hold those contests. The message that you cannot view all the sections unless you are a registered users is also displayed. So guests not realizing that we have these section is not a problem.

As some people mentioned before, not making all the sections visible top everyone especially such as these also sort of protects your stuff to an extent and makes people to join the forums if they want to see it all.

Besides that- registered users may leave a review or comment, you know. You will never find out what the unregistered strangers thought about it.

The section is visible but if the images are uploaded in NB albums- they are not( I think- will confirm later). You can see only those which are uploaded at some outside source.
