This thread made me think that there is no such thing as fodder, Kakashi told Guy once that luck is part of ninja's skill ... Any ninja with a bit of brain and a bit of luck can defeat anyone. I think it still holds true in the manga, call it PNJ if you want, it's still a fact. Not only established in the manga but also in real life (ie. ) all dumb luck and smarts ... dealing with what you have at full extent to make the odds in your favor.
