Lmao, quite the introduction. Welcome to animebase. Usage of the site is fairly straightforward, there are different sections (and subsections) for various different topics. Let's go through them (each heading is hyperlinked):
This is where new members introduce themselves and site announcements are made. Right now there's a Christmas event going on. Upon completing set daily challenges you can earn rewards like medals, kumi (role play currency), kin (site currency, which you can use to purchase various things, like premium), etc etc. I recommend you participate, it's a lot of fun as you can engage with others and make friends. This section is where most of today's popular animes and mangas can be discussed. You can ship your favourite characters, publish theories/predictions, showcase your weeaboo knowledge (jk jk) and answer questions. Or even simply converse.
This section is where you can demonstrate your creativity. If you're proficient with photoshop and the like, you can post your work there. If you love writing, you can publish your work under the fan fiction subsection. And you can read the work of other members and critique & compliment. You can also create a squad of members who you're friends with or have similar interests, i.e. ship the same characters as you do.
This is where contests are predominantly held. Signature of the month, art of the month, fan fiction of the month, there's a whole spectrum. They're held monthly and by winning them by finishing either 1st, 2nd or 3rd, you'll be able to choose from a range of rewards. There's also a subsection for worldly discussions, named general discussions. You can post contentious threads and engage in debates.
My favourite section of them all. Role-playing can be done here, where you can embody your favourite character(s) and defeat others (and gain a ton of abilities along the way).
