Naruto has changed my life, so I figured it was about time I belonged to somewhere where I could discuss it with more people than my sister...
I also have really strong feelings about the characters and storyline, and at this point I don't accept a lot of recent 'canon'. It just doesn't make sense to me. I'll try to be polite about other people's feelings and ideas; all I ask is that you not attack mine. Discussion, however, is welcomed!

Replying to someone who asked why one would be a Danzo fan...
Because he is the Batman of the Naruto world. Only more... ninja.
LOL, I'm still confused sometimes. I started out hating him and he somehow snuck his way into my affections until now he's my favorite character. I like how he cares about Konoha very personally, as opposed to some characters who just seem to have a 'we're all shinobi who cares about villages?' attitude. I like how he sticks a lot closer to actual ninja ideals - they were the people who did the dirty work, and worked in the shadows without fanfare or flashy fun stuff. He kept Konoha safe when Sarutobi was in charge, seeing as Sarutobi really wasn't one for making tough decisions and doing the unpleasant stuff - you gotta accept that if you're in charge of someplace like Konoha it's not going to be all nice. Sometimes you've got to assassinate, bribe, cover up, infiltrate, lie. Danzo was the one who did what was necessary. I really respect that.
Plus... I don't know if everyone will think I'm weird, but I find him really attractive. Especially when he was young/middle-aged of course, but even when he was older. And he's one of my favorite pairings for Tenten, my favorite female character, aside from Fu.
So yeah, a lot of reasons.
