As far as Im concerned, Euclid alone solo-ed the ancient world in his achievement of the axiomatization of Mathematics. No other peoples independently did so: when Marco Polo visited China in the 13th-14th century, the Chinese had some incredibly convoluted Mathematical tricks and whatnot but they still did not have what we today call "Mathematics". No other ancient civilization did either but the Greeks (the Muslims merely discovered Euclid).

Ancient Egyptians. Their infrastructure was unparalleled for thousands of years. They understood many things in nature. In fact the Greek civilization would not have been what it became without Kemet. Many greek philosophers, mathematicians studied in cities of kemet such as Thebes and Memphis. Many ancient civilizations and orders consider memphis to be the city of light and knowledge.

That's subjective. Depends on the era as well. But as a whole, it'd difficult to say. Having strong ties with Greece myself, I am biased so i say the greeks had 'better' civilization.

But as I said better is relative and subjective. There are achievements that depended on other achievements and so on. Greece's influence is greater though, in the modern world. v_v

The ancient Greeks. That's not to say Egypt is without credit. The Greeks were heavily inspired by much of Egypt, but Greece simply surpassed and perfected much of what the Egyptians started. Much of modern civilization owes its origin in Greek philosophy and infrastructure. Their influence can still be seen all over the western world.

im glad im not the only person who knows their history, there is no difference between modern Egypt and Ancient Egypt because firstly the present inhabitants are descent of invaders(Muslims, Khazars, Assyrians, Anglos Greeks, Romans, Christians)ironically enough they burned libraries stripped & defiled Pyramids, obelisk, and many other things & people who didn't leave so pretty much the original inhabitants of the land were to perfect minded to continue to fight over knowledge, vegetation,& water so they once again entertained a global migration, but the Nubians = one of the original tribes still live there in concentration camps, all in all Greece wasn't great or Ancient, and to the ignorant a holes go back to your middle school geometry books and read where it says Pythagoras found "his" theory because it wasn't China lol

Considering Ancient Greece basically took everything that made Egypt what it was and made it better, I'd say in terms of being "better" Greece was. Ancient Egypt to this day laid the groundwork for beautiful infrastructure and hieroglyphics are still one of the earliest known forms of writing, but it doesn't compare to Greece at all. Democracy is rooted in Ancient Greece. Concepts to this day stem from Greek Philosophers and their own exploits in their times. The Greeks were the first civilization to try and prove things with mathematics rather than just say "This is this because I say so".

my dude you got it wrong when you said made it better & root of democracy, and you fuked all the way when you said better hieroglyphic design so let me correct you in a factual manner, the Kemitics were the teachers of the Greek "civilization" after they came down from the caucus mountains and yes that is why white people ignorantly enough call themselves Caucasians because the came from caves in the Caucasus mountains, the Kemitics taught them how to read and laugh, to be happy you don't have to be barbarians lacking emotions any more killing each other for entertainment, but like all foster parents who over stay their welcome & act like your home is their home, they awaken to their foster children enslaving them & returning to their old ways but with the knowledge of how to make everlasting entertainment hince the Coliseum, so all of those "hieroglyphics" pictures you see on pictures were the works of my ancestors improving upon themselves to make things easier for their foster kids, but let me ask you a question if the greeks were so great what are they doing now what have they constructed in the current era, my people are oppressed that's why they act the way they're stagnant in many ways, what's your excuse?

People always credit the Greek but what did they really accomplish beside being known for pedophilia, not astronomy/astrology because thats the Dogon tribe
Natural philosophy, mathematics, democratic government, political theory, architecture, upper and lowercase letters/vowel letters/improvements in grammar, etc. Sure, many of these concepts began in other civilizations, but only in a primitive prototype of what we have now. The Greeks took many of these ideas and vastly improved them. For example, the Greek alphabet is based on the Phoenician alphabet, which takes inspiration from the Egyptian glyph system, but the Greek alphabet itself was full of innovations such as capital and lowercase letter, improved grammatical structure and prose. Essentially Greece did the same thing with many of the ideas they encountered. They advanced it from the raw material to the level we have today.

Alexander the Great already conquered Egypt. So Greece.

Edit: Misread the thread.

Which one has the better civilization? I would say Egypt was better. Greece had a lot of turmoil between its nations. Egypt was unified for the most part unless there was dispute for the throne after the pharaoh's death.

This guy has got it down.

Better civilization too, and no way near as fragmented. A lot of what Greece had wouldn't have been without Egypt. With that in mind, it's much more impressive to discover and create from scratch as opposed to making improvements to already existing systems.

Ancient Egyptians by far. Sure, we inherited tenfold more from the Greeks, but that doesn't change the fact that the Egyptians had an infinitely better, or rather more impressive, civilization.
