Itachi saying Jiraiya can beat he and Kisame and whoever helped was the GRANDEST BOOST IN HYPE EVER!!!!!!!!!
but was it a mistranslation????????? here goes

They were clearly speaking of Jiraiya. Though it was Kishi's fault for having Itachi and Kisame say that. I'm sure Kishi didn't intend for the two Akatsuki members to end up being so strong. A Susano'o with invincible weapons and a tailless tailed beast.

Kishi was just debuting Jiraiya and telling the readers how strong he was by having Itachi and Kisame say that.
