They'd better fix the shooting and driving mechanics. I know they've always been like that but it doesn't live up to today's standards at all.

I have to disagree with you. Most people think that the game is terrible, so it can't be over rated. That being said, its one of my favorite and easily my most played game this generation. The physics are outstanding, the dialog is superb, the story is fantastic. Grand theft auto may not have "shooter" gunplay, "Forza" driving " or half life pacing, but it does so much so well, so it deserves its "10/10" from ign and its "98" on meta critic

I love graphics (gow series is my fav) .... grand theft graphics have always seemed medeocre..I am not excited to see it imo....but loved andreas and vice city

Dude, you know GTA IV was one of the first games on this console and it is still great. Shooting and Driving is easy to handle and not complicated.

I suppose it is my opinion. Duke Nukem wasn'toverrated; critics and fans bashed it, lol

I'm not saying I hate the game. It has one of the most immersive city environments I've seen yet. What I'm criticizing are the core gameplay mechanics. Close quarters and melee combat was an absolute nightmare, and driving was too loose, and plenty of missions required a level of timing and precision the game couldn't handle. Try a game called Just Cause 2, that game is plenty of fun, and I liked it more than GTA4

It's a 7-8/10 in my book. Red Dead was a massive improvement in every way; now that game is Rockstar's masterpiece.

Again, if they improve the shooting and driving to make it snappier and tighter, GTA5 has the potential to be the best game in the series yet.

since when GTA ever had good shooting? Since the birds eye-view cam. Anyway this isint a racing game therefore why do they need to focus on that? It's not a cowboy game so why focusing on shooting? They would rather focus on the physics and the environment ... That's what makes the game great ... In forza are you able to get out of your car and just gun clap someone just cause he said learn how to drive ... In red dead revolver ... There were no cars , horses and carriages only so you can't even talk about the mechanics for driving ... All I'm saying for its purpose GTA is the best game of its kind and I can't wait for the new one which I know will have improvements in both shooting and driving and pretty much a lot more things... That have not been seen in other games, I already pre ordered it and can't wait ( other games I'm waiting for saints row 4 and diablo 3 all pre- oreded.
