Well essentially as far as I can tell, Swift release works similar to the body flicker technique in the canon Naruto series. By infusing their body with chakra the users of this ability can increase their movement speed. Some variants of the ability can increase the speed of thrown weapons, or attack speeds, some can even use the raw speed to create vacuums of air. Overall it's a fairly simplistic element I believe, though it has some nuances I'm sure.

SPEED FORCE... well not quite but you are correct.
Correct use: Swift itself has no elemental weakness but it does have limitations on its use. While Swift Release enables the ninja to move quite fast, he can only move in a straight line and in simple movements. As the ninja comes into close, immediate range of the enemy, to use Taijutsu itself the user becomes quite trackable and can clearly be seen. Because of this, strong and skillful Taijutsu users as well as Byakugan and Sharingan users (2T and above) will be able to produce even rudimentary counters. Swift can't also be used to increase ones hand seal speed nor can its speed be added to weight decreasing techniques (removing leg weights or using the Earth Weight manipulation techniques) as the boost in speed it produces is the same regardless of mass, volume, etc of the ninja. When facing a Swift user, altering the ground is always a good defense. Mud, Water, Ice, etc are all surfaces in which using swift becomes harder and less efficient. The only known cannon technique of swift release can be used mid-air but to a lesser extent than when its used on the ground. Although it has been hinted that Swift Release enables you to infuse objects to make them travel faster, the truth is that this use was never seen. Because of it, we infer than it can be used like that but that it will never produce such an effect that normal Taijutsu users can't read. When comparing Swift Release with the Eight Inner Gates, the differences are clear. While the first one enables the user to coat himself in a special chakra that makes him able to move, for a brief moment, at high speeds in a linear, simple fashion, the other increases the overall body speed of the user. This means that while an EIG user will be able to do everything fast, a Swift user can only "run fast" (in a matter of speaking).
(Hayaton No Jutsu) Swift Release Technique

Description: the basic technique of Swift Release, the user will do the Boar handseal and use his chakra to move at increased speed in short range. He can use this to perform free form taijutsu attacks or to dodge small scaled techniques. However, the technique is very short lived and can only last 1 to 2 seconds, being good enough for one or two punches or a simple side step.
If you could break down the jutsu and ask any questions you may have?
The technique itself works as both a dodge and a counter attack, since you can perform a single handseal and then move to dodge small taijutsu attacks or techniques then deliver a counter attack with a punch, or a kick, or a small combo of any two things really. It only works in short range so it's ineffective against a bunch of stuff, however it certainly has it's usages. I don't really have any questions, I guess since swift works in mid air in the canon, in regards to shadowless flight anyway, that this probably can as well?
As it doesn't state otherwise, and the cannon has been seen to be used in such a way, it would be possible yes.

Description:
The user will do the Boar handseal and disappear in a flash of speed. As he moves around the target, his immense speed creates afterimages that can effectively be confused with clones. The user needs to move in a circular or spherical pattern around the enemy to produce the effect. The afterimages will all mirror the movement of eachother which is the movement the user is doing himself. A very useful distraction, the technique can produce up to 9 copies of the user and unless the user has a doujutsu or a sensory ability, he won't be able to tell the difference between each afterimage. Although perfectly visible, the images flicker slightly and are to some extent translucent, not being easily confused with clones. While the target is distracted the user can attack with weapons or taijutsu. Although the enemy will see the user moving to attack, he won't be able to notice which afterimage is going to attack.
This is another fairly simple one, you run around the enemy so fast it creates visual after images, then you move to attack with weapons or taijutsu, the fact there are many after images mimicking your movements confuses them as to which is the true one, basically this is what Shisui did with body flicker.

Description: After making a single hand seal the user can move at fast speeds through the release of the swift release and then strike their opponent at multiple angles. The jutsu is effective against strength based close-combat Taijutsu users such as Tsunade and Sakura. However sharingan of tomo 3 is capable of reading the movements and can react to the opponents attacks.
