Got into a fight today.

I am in the 8th grade and the time for PE came. We don't do much at PE but sit around and talk, there wasn't even a teacher there today. We were sent with the 12th graders, even though there were only like 6 of them, there was only 1 guy. He was very cocky and wore glasses, had a long neck with the adams apple sticking out, and thought he was tough stuff. Well while we were on some bleachers outside, he decided to go and show off for the girls by throwing something into my hair. I swiped it out of my hair and stood up. I turned and looked at him and he was pretending he never did anything, I said "Hey man don't through stuff in peoples hair that's not cool back off." He realized I caught on, looked at me and said "What are you gunna do about it?" This lit my fuse considering I hate people who say anything like that. I walked over to the bleacher seat infront of him and said "I'm gunna show you what I'm gunna do about it." He took off his glasses probably thinking I was just gunna curl up when he grabbed me by the neck and squeezed, like all the other boys, but he had another thing coming. I hopped off the bleachers on to the ground, and as he proceeded to hold onto my neck I proceeded to punch him in his lower rib-cage, probably rocking his internal organs. He became more aggressive and tried to push me lower to the ground so I couldn't reach him, it was at this point I decided to tell him that its over and I'm cool now. He let go of me with a rather amazed look in his eyes.

What do you think? What would you have done? What would you have said?
In my position of course, keep in mind I'm 94llb's and 4'5. And he was a senior so I paled in size.

You sound like an easily provoked person. Someone threw something into your hair and through a series of events you ended up in a physical confrontation. While it's always nice to see people standing up for themselves I have my doubts that the story you told us is the full truth.




The bolded parts are too detailed. That often happens when people reinvent stories in their minds as it sticks with them rather than the actual happenings. Also they way it's written just seems off to me. It's written as though it's a story and not a factual recount of something which is said to have happened only just today.

Well finally a intelligent person to talk to. Well yes it may sound that way but considering he usually picks on 8th graders and tries to make them jump or flinch, but never does that to anyone in highschool, I think he deserved. He bragged about how much *** he got, bragged about his strength and how he could mop the floor with all of us.

Okay not back on topic, while I applaud your courage for standing up for yourself, fighting him didn't seem necissary, and it doesn't really sound like you did much of anything, let alone rock his internal organs, yes hitting someone in the lower ribs can hurt but not unless you have enough strength/ leverage. Also you say that you didn't hit him in the face cause he wore glasses but you also said he took off his glasses so which one is it?

He wore glasses, punching him in the eye or something would provoke someone to say "You would punch a guy with glasses? Thats sick!"
