Eye floaters are caused by the break-down of the transparent gel in the eye into a fluid. The loose floating material causes small shadows to be cast on the retina. In many respects, it is natural and nothing to be concerned about.
However, if you notice a sudden increase in them, or they are becoming a serious distraction/impairment - then you should see an eye doctor, since that can be a sign of more serious issues.
I've had a few that I have noticed for quite some time - ever since I was a kid. One is a filament-looking deal that kind of drags along just under my main point of focus. Another is a small black orb that trails just to the right of my main point of focus and will cross it when I look left quickly.

Same for me. When I got my glasses, the eye doctor told me to make sure I contact her if I suddenly start seeing a bunch of them all at once and that they may look like a swarm of flies. Said that was something to worry about. Take the safe route and see a doctor, not a manga forum.Eye floaters are caused by the break-down of the transparent gel in the eye into a fluid.
