That depends on the translation you readed. In some translation it say one and in other it says other.

I know this is a stupid question but, what seperates the WG from the Navy and the Marinez? Aren't the Navy and Marines under WG?

Imo Gorosei are not very strong by themselves, just like the Celestial Dragons who're fodders

Maybe they were gods in prime, but while being old they are nothing special.

So, average admiral >>> average gorosei, it's very unlikely that even one gorosei is stronger than admiral.

They aren't apart of the world government. They lead it. Its like a general being compared to Delta force. Delta force is the best military power we have in the USA but a general isnt considered apart of the fighitng force and most generals are insanely experienced.

If you look that way, than it would be said strongest of marines. Since CP is intelligent division, and Gorosei is 'leaders'. But being leader don't mean that you are not force of that organization.

I really think they are a bunch of old politicians who are just the top dogs of the government.

It would be super anti climactic if they would be the end villains. Strawhats vs. the elderly. So 5 ancient fossils are the best what the One Piece world have to offer ?

I would be okay with it if the can defend themselves from mediocre strength pirates, like old navy veterans or something. But if those five guys who have been stuck in that room for 30 years are above the admirals would be the biggest crap ever.

They're dangerous in terms of influence in the world, they're able to wiping out islands just by commanding it. But I doubt they're very dangerous when they have to fight themselves.

And what would be the point for them to be locked up in a dusty room for over 30 years making political decisions ?

How do you envision this battle, so the SH's battled all these young and upcoming enemy's first, slayed some Schihi's and a yonkou or two and then for the grand finale they face-off against 5 people with atherosclerosis and arthritis ?

It wouldn't feel right if the final guys in one piece before Luffy becomes pirate king are senior citizens.

Also if these are the final enemies, what is the role of the guy with the sword. If it's the end Zoro would already faced and beaten Mihawk meaning he is the WSS now, what would make this fight still entertaining ? Unless the final guys are stronger, but that would mean that Mihawk isn't the WSS in the first place.

Whitebeard, Zypher, Garp and Sengoku are prime examples that old people can be badass, but Oda gave the same message four times, You can't defeat time. Whitebeard knew it before the war, Garp and Sengoku after.

Why would these guys be an exception, why would they even despite their age still be stronger then admirals, or yonkou as some say in this thread ?
