I had thought since my exams are nearing I'll not login on NB but this morning I was struck with this crazy idea and thought I should share it.... So I'm back to post it.... =D =D
According to Professor Clover The Ancient Kingdom was once a very strong and advanced civilization.... But their existence was systematically erased by their enemy i.e. The 20 Kingdoms that later formed The World Government....
For a strong and advanced kingdom like that to be systematically erased there should have been traitors within The Ancient Kingdom that helped out the enemy to properly erase AK's existence....
I think The Ancient Kingdom had liberal ideas which the other 20 Kingdoms did not agree with.... Also amongst the AK were a group of people who disagreed with their Kingdom's liberal ideas and became traitors supporting the 20 Kingdoms....
This resulted in an internal conflict in the AK and the AK's King and higher authorities sensing defeat at the hands of the traitors and the 20 Kingdoms made The Poneglyphs....
Now I know you might be wondering what kind of Liberal ideas of AK were opposed by The 20 Kingdoms.... This is one of the possible ideas of AK that the enemy opposed....
Human-Fishman equality and migration of Fishmen to the ocean surface....
We know that the Fishmen are naturally stronger than Humans.... I think The AK wanted to help the Fishmen migrate to the surface from the Fishman Island.... But because the Fishmen race is stronger than humans.... The 20 Kingdoms opposed AK's idea of helping them migrate out of fear of subjugation of human race at the hands of Fishmen at later stages....
This also explains why the holy land of Marijoies is exactly above Fishman Island.... It is a symbol of oppression of Fishmen and denial to their freedom to live anywhere they want to....
Now that's just one of the possibilities.... There might be other ideas of AK that were opposed by others.... Also I believe The AK wanted to achieve something which couldn't have been possible without the help of Mermaid Princess i.e. Poseidon....
Now you are thinking how did I conclude Gorosei are D's from all this.... Let me explain....
The traitors of AK and the 20 Kings had a pact.... According to the pact once The AK is brought down -
1. The traitors and The 20 Kings and their descendants were to make sure that AK's ideology was never to be passed to anyone in the future....
2. The traitors and The 20 Kings to make sure the above point is implemented were to form an organization with immense power and authority which could not be challenged by anyone and if challenged, the organization should have the License To Kill.... That's The World Government....
3. Now AK was very strong and advanced.... So bringing down such an advanced kingdom would have been probably impossible for The 20 Kings without the help of the traitors.... So the traitors and their descendants were to be the highest authority of the new organisation cause without them defeating the AK would not have probably been possible for The 20 Kings....
So that authority is The Gorosei.... Also this explains why Gorosei's names have not been revealed despite them being so important characters.... They are also descendants of AK but they are the descendents of the traitors.... They probably like other AK descendants have "D" in their names but the do not carry the Will Of D like BB.... Their name will probably not be revealed till there is a mention of traitors in the Poneglyphs....
4. Now if the traitors and their descendants were to become The WG's highest authority then The descendants of The 20 Kings became World Nobles who could act as they please and are immune to any laws....
- The Gorosei are the descendants of the traitors within the AK.... So Gorosei too have "D" in their names.... That's why their names haven't been mentioned yet....
- The inequality towards Fishman race was one of the reasons between AK and it's tratiors + 20 Kingdoms fallout.... Also AK's possible goals for which AK probably required help from Mermaid Princess i.e. Poseidon might be a reason....
- Luffy who carries The Will of D will complete The AK's promise to Fishmen and while doing so will duel it out with The Traitors Descendants i.e. Gorosei and World Nobles who opposed The AK's ideas....
