Google is killing off Google Reader, their RSS aggregation tool, citing declining popularity. Google Reader will be retired officially on July 1, 2013 and will be missed by many. However, there are alternatives out there and Google have made it easy to transfer from their service to another RSS aggregation tool; though non are loved much like Google Reader. Many people including myself did not read their RSS feeds through Google Reader, though they did use it as a 'middle man' between their actual RSS readers and their beloved sites. I personally think that I will miss it and its simplicity.
I'll probably end up switching to an alternative, actually I'll probably end up switching to two alternatives. My first alternative is the one I use on my phone, Feedly. They have announced that they will make their own alternative to Google Reader and there will be a seamless switch-over. However I do not use Feedly on my computer so I would use Net Vibes as my second alternative.
What do you guys think, Are you sad to see it go or do you just not care? Commented below and share your opinion.
