Here's the story ..

Small Summary:
Basically now any rap/hip-hop song lyrics you want to find, Rap Genius will not be on Google's search references. You'll have to go to the direct link ' ' .. for now that is.

Thots?

Daaaamn, I never thought Google had such an effect on those kind of things. I think RapGenius will repair their relationship with Google cause they seem to be making a big deal that it wasn't their intentions for this to happen. RapGenius' traffic flow decreased dramatically so I doubt they'd make a habit of it. I also use that site sometimes for lyrics as well so I think Google should forgive them U_U

They're money grieving b-stards. Thousands of dollars a year is never 'adequate' enough for Google employees
Considering Google has to pay a few hundred employees that work around the clock to maintain and optimize the largest and most used website on the entire internet, I'm sure simply thousands of dollars wouldn't cut it at all. They need millions just to pay their employees.

Furthermore, for those who don't understand what is going on here. Basically, RapGenius was using a misleading approach on it's users to help spread the word of major artists so that Google would recognize the website to be larger than it really was to move up on the Google website ranks. Google caught onto this scandal, and as such, went to the length of banishing the website from any of it's searches as a reminder to every website out there that Google is in fact in control of Google, and not random websites that it displays under it's searches.

Also, this affects me in no way as I never had a need for that site previously.
