Goof Ups in the Manga

[My way of Ninja]

Any human venture is never clear of goof ups. They invariably occur . While some may be of an innocent Nature, some mght really be critical.

For the serious follower of manga,who reads each and every line of every manga again & again discovering new things along the way,
the one who thinks about the who/when/how/why of every chapter of the manga, analyses it all, forms one's own theories and makes one's
predictions and follows the manga with bated breadth confirming/altering one's theories in the discovery of new light in the manga,
Goofs are damnably confusiong and irritating!

There are many situations in the manga till now where the facts provided to us

1. contradict each other.
2. are unclear/ambiguous - Subject to interpretation
3. sometimes dont add up
4. loose ends

Many of us may have come across such situations where we felt,"But i thought it was the other way around".. or " It does not make sense"...

It is not easy to spot a goof up. It is more difficult to verify/scrutinize the facts and confirm whether the situation in fact

1. Is in an intentional Red Herring placed by the author ??
2. Is the author keeping back some info which would be revealed later !
3. Is a goof up ?? :no_ignore:

The beauty about manga is that each one of us reads and interprets it in our own unique way. Each one has his own viewpoint & persective.
The Same thing is seen diferently by different people. Thats where it will be awesome if we can come together to post our observations
and discuss them and classify them as one of the above.

That sharingan is a special genjutsu where kakashi says "its not that simple" when granny chiyo says you can use a friend to surge chakra through you to break the genjutsu"

Kakashi states that does not work against mangekyou, forcing anothers chakra through you.

But when sasuke uses his MANGEKYOU genjutsu on hachibi he says he just needs to force the 8 tails chakra through him and hes free.

That bothered me as well. I couldn't figure it out. What I have come to think of it is...

The MS is a technique the allows the user to see inside a person's soul. Sasuke said when fighting Naruto, that he knew what he was thinking just by looking at him, Neji claimed the same ability. The difference with MS, is that the user actually enters the person's mind, and is able to control all their senses.

Now the difference with 8-tails versus Naruto with the 9-tails.
8-tails: The rapping guy uses the entire power of the 8-tails. From the chakara to form. Its safe to say that the entire form of the beast was sealed into him. So when Sasuke used the MS, the guy froze, and was unable to move, but used the chakara to dispell the technique.

9-tails: The demon is sealed in two separate manners, the ying and yang. I think that this is what sets him apart from the other Jinchuikis. Naruto uses his own power. Sasuke was able to enter his mind, and control the 9-tails/push him back inside the cage. How is this possible? How can the 8-tails dispell the MS, but not the 9-tails. I believe its because the Yang part is sealed in a different part of Naruto, the actual seal on his stomach, versus inside of his body behind the cage. I believe that the Key that J-man is to give Naruto, is to let out the sealed chakara on his stomach, to counteract the chakara sealed behind the cage. So that Naruto would take on the form of the 8-tails. If the red chakara is escaping his body and causing damage, maybe the yang chakara that is supposed to be controlled by the Key from J-Man, is meant to prevent the leakage and damage to Naruto's body. Remember the kid that had the 9-tails chakara infued into him? His arm had fur on it, and he looked like a fox. When the chakara went out of control, he had the demon cloak. I think the balance between the ying and yang is meant to give naruto the fur, and look similar to 8-tails. Why does the 8-tails look like he didn't take any damage from the transformation??? I think its because of the balance. Why did the 4th seal it in this manner is up for debate.

i don't know i think might 've said that was wack 2 but i never questioned kishi that much iwas ike come on this is kishis and as soon as i saw chapter 419
and saw killerbee alive i shouted hell yeah

I am not trying to demean Kishi here .. There were many things that i wanted to discuss & clarify... What i did not understand, somebody else might have . Thats why i created this thread.. Unfortunately i will be out of town for three four days & will not be able to contribute to the discussion I hope this thread is still active & alive when i come back... Keep up the good work guys

I will quickly fire out some points that are @ the top of my mind

1. Continuing the discussion started by twistedlink & leonmccash , i also was perplexed by the power of the sharingan. It was shown that Sasuke could look right through Naruto, see the 9 tails and have a chat with him. Yet, when he finds killerbee he asks " Are you the host of the 8 tailed beast ? ". Couldnt he just activate his MS & see right through him ?

2. Can Kakashi see the 9 tails inside Naruto since he has activated MS too ??? Is it only the Sharingan or the Uchiha blood is needed too ???

3. I always wanted to ask this... During the early phase of Chuunin exam & before, Naruto was hardly considered powerful by anybody... .. Akamaru used to sense people's chakra and warn Kiba about it. When Akamaru saw Gaara, he trembled with fright because of his Chakra levels.. My question is this..Why did it not sense Naruto's chakra & consider him powerful...No one gave Naruto a chance. Everybody including Kiba thought he was weak & can be easily defeated. Akamaru's nose & senses were on a holiday ? Heck, Gaara had 1 tailed Shukaku & Naruto had the 9 tails..

4. Gai's Summon was shown to be a Turtle at the begining of the series (before the start of Chuunin exam - lee vs Sasuke). It was never shown later. He could have summoned it in his fight against Kisame... I posted it as a thread before this one.. It had many valid opinions posted by many of you all. one of them was that Kishi might have incorporated that Turtle idea at first with something in his mind & later he changed his mind about it & gave up on that. It seems likely since it was @ the start of Naruto Manga.. Kishi was setting up the Characters & had a change of mind later..What do you all think ?

5.In Chiyo 10 puppets vs Sasori 100 puppets fight, Chiyo's ten puppets just wreaked Sasori's puppets. Sasri's 100 puppets were almost smashed p by just 10 of Chiyo's old ones.Yet after the fight Sasori was the one to remark "The quality of the puppet matters & not the quantity". I found it hard to digest that fact. Sasori's puppets have spunk. Look at the one he used as his outer cover[His usual appearace : The tailed one]. It has so many tricks up its sleeve ( Poison, darts, fire...blah bllah blah). I cant beleive his 100 puppets were decimated by 10 of Chiyo's. All the fans here of that fight, dont get pissed at me. I loved that fight too. It was one of the top three fights in Shippuden. Yet i was not convinced with that.


These were the some of the ones that came readily to my mind.. Please post your thoughts on them & dont get mad at them .. lol...... As i said, i ll be away for three to four days... I ll come back & start by checking the manga .. I ll catch up here sooon. Thanks !

Im not too worried about sasuke being able to look into peoples minds, what bothered me was kakashi stating sharingan is not like normal genjutsu, and that and i quote "having a team mate put chakra through you" doesnt work against sharingan or mangekyou sharingan, hence why when naruto was under itachis illusion it was beaten because he used his finger-not his sharingan.

It was stated repeatedly through 400 chapters that sharingan can only be fought against with another sharingan, and that having team mates doesnt work when dealing with mangekyou.

But as soon as sasuke mangekyou genjutsus hachibi he just simply uses the 8tails chakra to get rid of it.

Its a seriously large contradiction.

In all actual logical theory itachi didnt have to give naruto anything, sasuke has NOTHING on naruto if sharingan can simply be ditched by forcing 9 tails chakra into himself.

And then we come across ANOTHER contradiction.

The mangekyou is supposed to be able to control the tailed beasts (especially the 9tails)

hence why madara is the leader, hes the one who can use them most effectively, so surely the 8tails would be at a DISADVANTAGE against sasukes sharingan, when in fact it appears to be the complete opposite.

I think the writers made sharingan so powerful they kinda had to ditch some parts to actually make it beatable, because the first 400 chapters stated clearly only uchiha can beat uchiha, especially extremely skilled ones, then they used the 1st hokage to beat an uchiha, and now hachibi.

I think Akamaru saw the anger/brutality inside Gaara not chakra. And then, chakra inside naruto will be noticed when 9 tailed is awaken. We could see it when naruto fights against Oro, and Sakura also noticed at that point.

Yes, Sasuke didn't have MS when he put the Jinchuuriki back to the cage and Naruto wasn't even in the first stage of Jinchuuriki. On that point "Sakumono26" is right. Hachibi cooperates with 8-tail. I think it makes pretty sence.
