I appreciate good music. I'm not restricted to any genre.

If you were to look on my Iphone, you'd find Katy Perry, Beethoven, Cake, and Avenged Sevenfold. Quite the melody of artists (pun intended

). This is because I appreciate GOOD music. I don't care who makes it, as long as it's talented and good, I'll appreciate and listen to it.

That's why I hate today's current music trends, specifically "Pop" music (ironically short for Popular). With the exception of a few artists, music takes no talent anymore! There's no heart, there's no feeling anymore. I used to be able to FEEL a song, know what the artist was thinking (Kurt Cobain), or at least appreciate their talent. Now, it's just cash grabs with a tune behind it. It sickens me.

I don't hate country music. Johnny Cash is amazing. I hate what country music has become.

"Grab a beer, get my truck, drive through the mud with mah BEER TRUCK"

That's what it all sounds like to me. I can't stomach it.

Same goes for One Direction, Bieber, Manaj, basically any current Pop music artist (Katy Perry is actually pretty good, I can appreciate her... uh... Well endowed voice.)

What are your opinions?

good music, bad music . . . it's ALL subjective

you'd have to have pretty low self-esteem to not be able to accept that others have opinions that differ from yours

I absolutely agree and that's why I mostly listen to bands that originate from the 80's or 90's aside from electronic music which I'm also a big fan of. I don't really care for what other people listen to as long as they don't go around the place talking about how modern/mainstream is better than the old school, that really gets on my nerve.

Like someone said here, music is subjective. A song that you like doesn't mean other people like it. A song that you think it's good doesn't mean other people will think the same. And for genre, i mostly listen to EDM, R&B, Pop, Dance Pop. I like some Country and Rock too.

Johnny Cash is not country, he is rock. George Strait is country. Garth Brooks is country. z.z

I prefer classic Rock. Bands like Foreigner, Boston, or Billy Squier.
