How did they screw up ? You can't take a frame and complain about animation. Like it's been said before it's to draw motion.

And it looked fluent as hell. This was with ease the best animated episode in the last 2 years.

Pein's fight got a lot of shit too but that was animated pretty brilliantly too.

Derpy anmations FTW lol. This is one of the reasons why i even watch naruto anime

The animation used was awesome. Fluent, quick, smooth. The details of the characters are less, but that's natural in quick animation (also in relation to the budget of each Naruto episode). The only thing that bothers me is the lack of shadows on some points at the still moments, mostly on the hair of the characters. It takes away the depth.
