I need a list of books like Eragon or the Thief of Eddis series, basically anything that deals with fantasy. Suggestions on what I should read?

if interested look up the book Across the Nightingale Floor. the author is Lian Hearn.

first of 3 books that I enjoyed very much. without giving anything away its about feudal japan setting with supernatural assassins.-sounds weird but very, very good.

The Inheritance series is pretty amazing I seen that you read the first book in the series Eragon but did you finish reading the other 3? My favorite was Eldest but Brisingr and Inheritance were great as well I just wish the ending didn't seemed so rushed..

The Belgariad. It's a 5 book series with a few spinoffs and another 5 book series after. And there not long books.

The Sword Of Truth. I love this series even though it did take a lot from WOT. There are a lot of bulky books so I would very suggest the 1st book Wizards First Rule it's my favorite in the series and that really is a stand-alone book more than the rest.

Rangers Apprentice. It's a different kind of Fantasy book there's not a ton of magic. To me how I'd describe it is it's Batman training Robin but it's set in a fantasy type world. Because the master Ranger is just an awesome ba character.

The Gentlemen Bastards/The Lies Of Locke Lamora. Very interesting a lot of twists and turns. The ending is very satisfying.

I do agree there a lot of similar things between SOT & WOT I think the thing that makes them different is enough for me. For instance I love Richard finally in one of these kinds of series there is a male lead character who's not an idiot. He's always clever and I love that.

I think if you like coming of age stories then the Belgariad is something to be red.

I'm highly surprised you guys haven't brought up any of the Forgotten Realms books.

Children of Hurin, dealing with the tragedy of Turin and his sister, by Tolkien, is a masterpiece.

But a second to any of Tolkien's works are R.A. Salvatore's books on the character Drizzt Do'Urden.

A dark-elf ranger who uses scimitars, who travels with a dwarf, a halfling thief, a barbarian warrior, and archer.

Look up The Legend of Drizzt. It beats the socks off of Eragon. That's just child's play to Drizzt.

Pendragon is a pretty good fantasy book. It's 10 books but it's really amazing book! I've read it before but I haven't read it since I finished it in middle school.
