Neji's character was pointless anyways, and he rendered Hinata useless.
Why would one have two of the same type of person a part of the same generation.
One is strong, and one is weak.
His death developed Hinata a bit, but he shouldn't have existed in the first place. Unless the Hyuga have an Uchiha esque eye swap gains power scenario, Neji should not have existed.
Grammar goes a long way in generating clarity.
OT:
Excuse =/= Escuse
Ignoring the above, the title makes no sense. Why title it, "A good excuse to kill off Neji," if you simply ask about killing off Hinata. Should you not have simply asked, "A good excuse to kill of Hinata." Now that previous title would make sense.
Ignoring the title, your argument is still invalid. We saw Obito and Madara had more cards in their deck than the Alliance could have anticipated. Even if Hinata had died, the result would have essentially been the same. Naruto nearly giving in. The difference would be who would be the one to pull him back into focus. This role would likely have fallen to Neji, Kakashi, or Sakura at this point. Remember, this is Naruto, and the two primary characters are Naruto and Sasuke. No matter who had died at that point (Hinata or Neji), the story would have progressed in a parallel manner so that ultimately it is up to Sasuke and Naruto to save the world.
