Basically, I'd like for posters to give their opinions on which characters he/she thought were good before, but were later rent asunder by Kishimoto due to some influencing factor, or vice versa (bad characters that were later developed and were cool).
For example:
I actually liked Hebi Sasuke. He was a very interesting character w/ versatile abilities, 3T precog, Curse Mark of Heaven, and intriguing battle tactics. Think Kakashi lite, but less intellingent. However, after he unlocked the Mangekyō, he was all Amaterasu/Susano'o spam >_>
Another one was Tobi. Obito Uchiha was...meh...and that's all i'll say about him. Akatsuki Tobi w/ the orange mask, on the otherhand, was a straight badass and tied for the best villain along w/ Orochimaru in my opinion. I'm not a big fan of Kakashi's Kamui (though warping himself to the Kamui dimension is alright), but Tobi's Kamui was boss.
On the flipside:
Orochimaru was arguably one of his best characters, but Kishimoto sure did an appalling job with him during the war arc. "Follow Sasuke's different path" my culo. The man (or snake-man?) was in such a great position to take advantage of the war like Kabuto was pre-Izanami, but alas, it was not be, as Kishi is Kami-sama and Naruto is Cristo-sama. Certainly would have been more interesting than Obito being an assclown, and Madara running around soloing everybody (except Gai ^_^) while gloating about how good he was, and complaining about how shitty the world was.
