good animation software?

[Fair Warning]

Does anyone know of any free ones or free trials. I would like to animate my avatar to have the hair blow in the wind but its taking too long to edit every frame in photoshop!

Or am I doing it the right way?

i heard Maya is good animation software. . (i literally dont know how to use this software. . m saying because my friend uses it all the time)

and also if u r having problems with rendering then it might be because ur PC doesn't meet the requirements for using animation softwares . . If you have decent PC for animation then i suggest you go for maya . .it comes with 30 days trial i think

If you know how to use Flash the right way, you can make some pretty cool stuff with it. Flash might work, though I don't know much about animation software.
