It's solely down to perspective and perception.

It's contradictory to each and every individual belief.

Thoughts???

Well if that's true then there is no need for the law.

aside from this thread being made about 5 times today I will say that is a valid way at looking at morality. The definition of good and bad is relative to the beholder.

Cold blooded murder is bad in everyone's eyes. Or it should be.

It's true the words are subjective. However, MOST people have the same general sense of morality.

Tho murdering your own family, or incest are generally considered wrong for most people. Also I think hurting someone else for no reason can't be justified either.

Well if that's true then there is no need for the law.

Law is not only for telling what is good and bad, and then punish those who don't keep the rules, but also to regulate economical, international, administrational and business relations and other personal interactions, based on the acceptance of the majority of the society, therefore it makes everyday life easier and less caothic.

And why should I take anyone serious here with avatars from anime? o_O This argument was not really compelling on an animeforum.

The question is not if good and evil exist, but what does "good" and "evil" mean respectively. What does it actually mean to be moral?

The Buddhist believe one should desire nothing, not even life.

The Atheist, evolutionist believes morals (good and evil, right and wrong) were developed by organisms who could not survive on their own and created rules to get along (morals, laws). Thus morality for the evolutionist is based on survival, morals are just constructs. There is no "good" or "evil"; only what happens.

In Christianity, Judaism, and Islam Yahweh created everything to perpetuate itself but having different parts of creation sustain other parts and called it "good". Thus, to these followers "good" means whatever works to perpetuate Yahweh's creation and "evil" is what works against it or to destroy creation.
