Gon as main character

Do you guys think that Gon is your typical/good Shounen MC?

To me greed island portraits Gon as a stubborn and selfish character. He let killua play greed island with him while Killua has a spell on him, he lets killua hold the ball for him during the dodgeball game even thou his hands are all messed up. And last weeks episode he ignores the plan and fights the bommer as he pleases.

He is alright, that is what makes the anime good, cause its different and not as cliche.

I think that fits the childish and naive personality of Gon. I don't think he realized that he was being selfish and was just too focused on getting what he wanted.
