Well we don't know the nature of vegapunk yet and BB probably taken help from him when he was still shichibukai , so it explains why vegapunk helped him. That clearly explains it, oh wait! vegapunk is with the marines/WG, idiot

Somone doesn't get what "presumption" isI don't even like the idea of a rubber burgess, makes me sick if anyone but luffy uses it U_U
Make a thread #theories lay em down, back em up with manga referencesWell we don't know the nature of vegapunk yet and BB probably taken help from him when he was still shichibukai , so it explains why vegapunk helped him.
Luffy>Burgess..... Luffy(no df)>Burgess. Burgess hasn't shown any skill he can beat Luffy what are you talking about?I don't see how that is even remotely possible. Current burgess>Luffy without using rubber. now add to Burgess that level of gumo no gumo mastery that luffy has and he'll easily be above what Luffy is right now.
Ya'll are underrating Jesus greatly right now, a Gear 4th enhanced surge elbow would be devastating.
I've seen this be mentioned a few times... I'd just like to remind everyone that we've seen this bag before in the series, I think it's just a pattern that Oda uses. I think (and hope) that it has no correlation to a DF or anything as it's apparently a common pattern in the OP world as I've seen it more than once being used before. His bag looks like a devil fruit. Won't be surprised if there is a relationship with it
how is admiral highest level when there yonkos and gol d roger levels?Admiral level is the highest obtainable level, so, he'd be nearly there, he's probably not so good at Kenbunshoku Haki, given his size, even if he is he'd be unable to dodge a lot of attacks
Because the Admirals are on the same levelhow is admiral highest level when there yonkos and gol d roger levels?
And Luffy swallowed that fruit as an inexperienced kid. He was an inexperienced kid when he was having trouble handling the fruit. By the time of 17, it took him less than a year to develop complete new modes like gear2 or gear3, developing gear2 by just seeing the working of soru once, as well as new attacks in each respective modes. Burgess is far from an inexperienced kid and is a brawler having watched Luffy's usage of the fruit, so the perfect guy to understand and make use of it, Teach's champion. Now i'm not saying he'd master it in one go, hence i said "after some time"That's a bit unfair
After some time?
Luffy needed 10 years to do a pistol, and he is considered a battle genius.
I see no reason why a person like Burgess would not atleast need double the time to achieve the same abilities as Luffy
I have a feeling this thread is actually meant to diminish luffy's strength without his DF.
He had the Gomu his whole life and dedicated his fightingstyle completely to the skills in his df
U can't just give Burgess the fruit and think he can just achieve the same power so fast. That's not how it works. If Luffy never had a df he would have just achieved the same strength in another way.
