Remember religious Days in Japan follow the lunar calendar, not the solar one, so their started up dates vary to conform to the lunar cycle.

Buddhist,Hindus, Jewish and Mohammedan holidays are base on the lunar calendar that is a fact you can't dispute. Christian Holidays are base on the Julian-Gregorian calendar. When your calendar is base on the moon you started the Holliday according to the moon phases, dates do not matter, one year it may started one week earlier or later depending on the moon phases. This is not an opinion just facts on how the 2 calendars work.

Well I really don't care and thats not the point.
Golden Week is always the first week in May it doesn't really matter what kind of calendar you use for it its still going to be same
