I just watched the newest episode, and I was a little confused. Raikage said that Kinkaku and Ginkaku were related to the So6p, but would that make them an Uchiha or a Senju? And if they're either, why are they from the Cloud if those two clans are from the Leaf? Any help is appreciated.

he didnt say they were he said that they may be, or that the only way for them to posses the necessary means for them to be able to ingest the 9tails innards and survive would be for them to hold exception strength, much more than your average run of the mill ninja and so the association to the sage was made cause thats all anyone in this show does when someone with exceptional strength is revealed in this show

Probably some Uchiha or Senju directly linked to the sage of 6 paths knocked up a kunoichi from the cloud village. Or an Uchiha or Senju had a bastard child (presumably Senju not Uchiha, no sharingan) that moved to the cloud village, and kin/gin descended from them. Gold and Silver bros therefore end up with a distant blood link to the sage.

Or maybe the so6p had more than two kids. Lul, maybe the two firstborn kids were the ancestors of the Uchiha and Senju, and the third kid was Uzumaki...

Maybe the Haruno clan is descended from the sage too...
