Thats not his cockiness thats just his nature being a saiyan. Saiyans love to fight so they need their opponents at full power to enjoy the fight. I will say that is his flaw but i wont say its cockiness you know?

Invalid. Didn't see you when Princess Snake tried to mindrape Goku and he resisted her illusion. Genjutsu would also not effect DBZ characters. Vegeta resisted Babidi's Mindrape.
