has goku ever tanked a planet destroying attack? I really need some evidence to prove that goku can tank something that big.

IIRC there was nothing ever direct like that examplewise, mostly because if the planet Goku was on blew up, he would run out of oxygen, die in the conditions of space, etc.

But regardless it's pretty clear that Goku should have durability to that extent, definitely by the end of the series. I'm pretty positive that Frieza nuked Planet Vegeta in base form, and Goku held his own with Frieza at full power. Considering Frieza's mentality and especially his attitude during the fight as it went on, there was absolutely no reason that Frieza would hold back and he would certainly go all out powerwise, yet Goku was able to compete with him and, obviously, win. It's obvious that if we account for later arcs, in which everybody and their mothers would wipe the floor with Frieza, that Goku should have at least planet level durability by the end of the manga.

Goku's attack almost destroyed Namek by itself and that wasn't even his prime. Cell's Kamehameha could have destroyed Earth and Gohan's beat it. Goku > Gohan, so using indirect proof , yes, Goku can destroy a planet.

I'm pretty sure Cell said the solar system, and even then that's an exaggeration. Nobody in DB ever showed the power to bust solar systems, let alone galaxies. Maybe star level but nothing more.

You guys have missed the point of this thread. It isn't as to whether or not Goku can destroy a planet, but if he can survive an attack that can blow up a planet.

he can destroy a planet but why would he in the first place if he is a good guy. He uses the super dragon fist instead of the spirit bomb because when he becomes a super saiyan because a spirit bomb at that kind of power would destroy a planet. If freeza can tank planets im positive goku can

Yes he can, by the cell saga everybody can

When fight vegeta, vegeta told goku his galic gun was strong enough to destroy the earth & goku after that saga was much stronger. So at least from Frieza saga on yes.

Well Frieza core burst Namek. If Goku would have stood in front of that attack, it would have killed him. Basically their energy attacks are the only thing that can destroy planets. The manga, no one knows how Frieza destroyed Planet Vegeta. In the anime it gave filler as to what might have happened. We only get one person who has actually destroyed a planet and that was Buu. In the manga, Cell said he would destroy the planet with his self destruct attack. In the anime he said the galaxy. Well if the manga is cannon, he didn't survive an attack that would destroy a planet.

NOW with all of that said, Goku was only in SSJ form. his power and durability increases when he is in a stronger form. Not to mention he trained while he was dead and got stronger from there. I can say with confidence he could not survive a planet bursting attack in base or SSJ1 form. It is ify in SSJ2. SSJ3 he could survive.
