Better then that, Kakashi tried to kill Naruto and Sasuke in the beginning. If Kakashi related his childhood with Naruto's and Sasuke's he would of seen that Naruto and Sasuke had no chance against Haku. He also risked unleashing the fox, not to mention killing sasuke would of brought an act of Itachi upon the leaf. He was close to destroying the world with that battle for real. Itachi... Mad...
