If Goku was in Blue form, would he be able to control the energy of destruction? I might assured that Frieza in base form wouldn't be able to control (or tame if you like to call it) the energy of destruction.

Doubt this was the case since he proceeded to do so a few minutes later when they fought. I think he just couldn't focus his energy to turn blue while also preventing himself from being destroyed by the energy.

Like always, he was playing dumb. I know Blue Goku gets out of this with ease.
