I think it's illogical to give god any concept of ***. However, I do believe there is god- in a spiritualistic way, far from a religious way (though I agree many religions teach good values when unadulterated, however I think philosophy should be brought back because religion dismisses the demand to ponder more about the difficult questions of life (what happens after dying, what distinguishes a soul in terms of fetal development or persistent vegitative state, gene therapy, etc.) in order to promote cohesion rather than individuality). Definitely not the traditional way, but in the fact of how god constitutes everyone and everything, and gives life to an inanimate set of particles and makes them so complex, working in unison.
This isn't to say I don't believe in evolution, because I do. Otherwise, my studies in biochemistry, medicine, and pharmacology just wouldn't make any sense, and go against the overwhelming evidence presented. However, it bolsters my belief, because just seeing how complex the machinery becomes in life is mesmerizing and is questionable of how it remains to exist. Take this for example: we have 52 homologous interleukin hormones coding for separate functions in the body (though some cross in function), multiple cytochromes to process discrete steroids and drugs, we have proteins that look identical and function like clock sprockets/wheels in turning, cilia require a complex assembly of distinct and wide variety of proteins to function (and it goes on), yet, somehow life is able to use this without incongruity (unless, of course, there's disfunction or disease) and I think that, as well as immense complexity and ability to feel and learn about the universe gives this a possibility. Though as to say whether there is an after-life, or anything we are not able to experience in this lifetime is and unknown concept, and will remain that way. Until we actually die, yet we cannot tell anyone about what happens. Even if you're resuscitated (my grandfather was constantly resuscitated, yet only recalled as if time was skipping)
