There was a discussion moments ago on how everything got here on a thread about how someone felt that Athiests are constantly bashing on Christians- not what this thread is about. This thread is about that conversation that was at hand.
I was typing a response. However, the thread was deleted (?) before I could finish. So I'm Pasting it here, just for the viewing of you all. Feel free to critique, argue against, support, or ponder on it. Without any further ado, here it is!

You know, I really didn't want to, but I feel I should. This is my last post though before I go to bed, got an early morning. But here's my 2cents on that currently being discussed.
For the record, I happen to be reading a book that had a section of a chapter speaking on this. I'll be using it in refrence, though in my own words.
Fact: The Universe exists, and its being here must be explained.
We have 3 options to take:
-Matter/Universe is eternal.
This is proven to be scientifically impossible, through several laws. Off the top of my head, those of Thermodynamics. I'm in High-school, and I know there are many more. Atheists, Creationists, Scientists, and Farmers can agree with this proven fact, that also abides by the law of common sense.
-Matter/Universe created itself.
This is just absurd and ridiculousness. Common sense should be enough. There are no natural ways in which matter can create itself. No material thing can create, or explain, itself. There are, of course, Laws of science to disprove this as well.
-Matter/Universe was created.
Our only other option, and the one that makes since. We observe the Law of Cause and Effect all the time. So then, the question is what/Who did???
By necessity, the Creator must be:
-Something/Someone that existed before the universe, i.e. an eternal, un-caused Cause.
-Something/Someone superior to the creation, as is always the case in a creation-creator relationship.
-Something/Someone that is of a different nature of the material realm, for material objects are not eternal nor can they create themselves.
Now, think about this. Direct quotation from the book/ If there was ever a time when absolutely nothing, then there would be nothing now, for nothing produces nothing but nothingness! Since something does exist, it must follow logically that something has existed always. Exactly what was that?End quotation.
Everything that exists is either matter/physical/tangible or mind/spirit/the-intangible. Think, what else is there? Everything falls into one of those categories.
So everything that exists is either "matter" or "mind", per say. So, one of those must be eternal. However, as shown, matter is not eternal; this is fact. Therefore, mind must be eternal.
And that Mind, that Spirit, is identified in the Bible as God. He is the one that existed prior to the physical universe, is superior to it, and is of a different nature than it.
The scenario is similar to a person and his drawing.
Atheism is forced to believe that physical life at some point in the past spontaneously generated from inorganic materials, but the EVIDENCE is fully against that claim.
-Life was either spontaneously generated by accident from inorganic substances, or it was created purposely by an eternal force. [[NOTE: Evolutionists acknowledge this as well.]]
-But all the evidence indicates life does not and could not start spontaneously by chance.
-So, the evidence forces us to believe that life was created by an Eternal Life Force, identified as God!
I'd like to discuss much more, such as evidence against evolution, Big Bang, for God, and much more. But truth is there fellas, we just have to go get it! 'Night all, I'll be back 2marrow!
