possibilities in an insulting manner is considered insultI know my words might offend but they are not meant to start a fight. Would God be offended by my curiosity?
I'm not insulting. I'm thinking of the possibilities.

Yes, I believe that God wants us to be good but why would be punished for not believing considering that these topics are so confusing to humans, and everyone gets offended so you can't have room for discussion. I agree that the world is garbage because of us.He does exist for me.
He's not going to help us out because we're the cause of everything that is happening to the world and its environment. We're the ones to blame because it's not god that is killing us, we're killing each other due to war. We're the one that has to step up and realize that is all our fault, we have to learn from our mistakes. We're not perfect though.
I wouls suggest Hinduism, Buddhism, Greek/Roman Mythology, Chinese philosophy, Shintoism.I agree but I don't know where to start with that.
That sounds like something the devil would do.
You are being ignorant. I just find it hard to believe that we have to burn in hell for not believing.possibilities in an insulting manner is considered insult
You might wanna check the context around those verses. Usually (not saying you are), people throw out verses and the meanings are construed to fit whatever the person is saying. Those that go to heaven are numbered. Revelations 7:4
Hell is no more than mankind's common grave. U don't go there to burn.
Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10-The dead are conscious of nothing
Ps. 37:11- The meek will inherit the Earth
Heaven is for Spirit Creatures, Earth is for man
You're free to believe or not believe on god but people have to stop saying that he doesn't exist because he doesn't help us.. I mean we're the ones making the mistakes, not him.Yes, I believe that God wants us to be good but why would be punished for not believing considering that these topics are so confusing to humans, and everyone gets offended so you can't have room for discussion. Yes, but then there is which God is right and why would God punish me for wanting more proof?Ok so I have a number of things to say about God.
1-have you ever seen promethious? One bit of dialog really resonated with me. It was between a man and a robot. Man"I want to find out why God made us" robot"why did you make me?" Man"because we could" robot"how would you feel If that was your answer?"
-there is a possibility God made us simply because he could. He may have gotten bored with us and moved on. And this connects to my next point
2-"God is dead, and we have killed him, who are we to kill the holiest of holy..." Maybe God got bored of us or maybe he died. In the old testiment God was prevalent in every day life, burning bushes, Jesus christ, smiling wrong doers etc. what did we do to make him stop? Or maybe he was never there to begin with ( btw I really recommend reading that passage from fredreich niches book. Really great passage).
3- if God does exist. We aren't judged by what we do but what we feel that we did. If you feel like getting a tattoo would be against gods will and you get it anyways, your making a conscious decision to defy God. But if you whole heartedly believe God doesn't mind then you've done nothing wrong. That can be said about a lot of things.
But I could talk about this all day. But the main thing is that as far as religion you have four paths
Believe in God-god is real
-go to heaven all good and great
Believe in God-god is not real
-you would never know the difference so neutral
Don't believe in God-god is real
-you go to hell-negative obviously
Don't believe in God-God is not real- neutral nothing happens
So from your choices you have one positive outcome, 2 neutral outcomes, and one negative outcome
So I'm going to take my chances and believe in God. And on the off chance he is real then I'm set. If he isn't well I'd never know the difference.
Yep, that's exactly how I replied to Darkdro's thread, I understand the evil of humans. You're free to believe or not believe on god but people have to stop saying that he doesn't exist because he doesn't help us.. I mean we're the ones making the mistakes, not him.
it is the sole reason why the living were created: to believe and worship god. from my beliefs, god could actually forgive you if you are (from the bottom of your heart) trying to know his existence and find answers, as people from the middle ages were ignorant and a large percentage is god will forgive them. however, you live in a modern generation where education is opened to the whole world. You are being ignorant. I just find it hard to believe that we have to burn in hell for not believing.
God has as much right to be a destroyer, liar, sadist as much as he does a righteous loving creator. How can my curiosity offend him?
I am Muslim. I'm just starting to think that it isn't tolerant of others. I love Islam when I appeal to God emotionally, and the poetry and stories and such but when I try to think logically I have many doubts.it is the sole reason why the living were created: to believe and worship god. from my beliefs, god could actually forgive you if you are (from the bottom of your heart) trying to know his existence and find answers, as people from the middle ages were ignorant and a large percentage is god will forgive them. however, you live in a modern generation where education is opened to the whole world.
i suggest you start with islam; it's a reason why it is the most growing religion. your answers were all be found there.
Yup i agree my friend.Yes, but then there is which God is right and why would God punish me for wanting more proof?

May I ask you a question. If you were a God or Goddess and you created life in your image would you not want to help guide your children? Would you not want them to know for a exact fact that you exist? I would, I would not want my children who i created in my image to wonder blindly with only faith to guide them, going to war for centuries and killing innocents in my name. You're free to believe or not believe on god but people have to stop saying that he doesn't exist because he doesn't help us.. I mean we're the ones making the mistakes, not him.
lol, a muslim wouldn't try to question his allah's judgement on the world. all you would do is thank him for your health and safety. if you have doubts (depending where you live), you can always ask an imam about allah or islamAlso, if God is an omnipotent being then doesn't that mean everything he does and says is on a whim?

No i would not.May I ask you a question. If you were a God or Goddess and you created life in your image would you not want to help guide your children?
If they choose to believe me in me then why not.Would you not want them to know for a exact fact that you exist?
We're humans and we make mistakes but we choose not to learn from it, how many wars have happened through the years? MANY. We keep making the same mistakes all over again.I would, I would not want my children who i created in my image to wonder blindly with only faith to guide them, going to war for centuries and killing innocents in my name.
He exist i saw someone who jumped to the roof top of a church then he survived literally he only got a broken ribs and neck... then he said something he said that he saw a light coming straight to him then that light was slowly floating him... im a atheist but after seeing what happened i bilieve its the holy spiritThese are what outcomes I think are possible.
This is adressed to Darkdro's thread.
If God was real, let's assume heaven and hell exist.
Hell is reserved to the people who make Earth a terrible place.
While Heaven is reserved for those who are good and pray.
What would be the point of heaven and hell if he made Earth like heaven?
1. He could be a lying sadist.
2. God as an egotistical being: This would make sense to send all those who don't worship him to hell. He probably made the world shit so that even though he's an ass to you he wants you to worship him while you have free will. The most enjoyable worship for an arrogant God, more satisfying than completely forcing you to worship him in my opinion.
3. He does not care. Why would an all knowing being care about anything? Or maybe he wants us to learn on our own.
4. He does not exist.
5. God is not omnipotent, he might just be an evolved being and might be one of billions. We can might as well be his his version of a computer program xD
My opinion on why religions based on Abraham are false (Islam, Judaism (I'm not sure if Jews believe in hell), and Christianity):
Life cannot be a test from God because of the following reasons.
Tests are either for the examiner to assess us but this can not be in God's case since he "knows everything". If not then they are for us to learn. How do we learn if we get thrown into a pit of fire for all eternity? So in my opinion he either doesn't exist or will not send us to hell (at least not forever and assuming he is just).
Now this doesn't dismiss the possibility of the three religions because it could mean God is just a sadist or he is not a God but still our creator, in other words, a liar.
What do you think?
Feel free to criticize, enlighten me or whatever because I posted this for my benefit as well to see if I could learn from you guys. I don't want any flame wars or posts that lead nowhere, just be respectful, thanks.
I didn't really proof read this and I'm a bit inarticulate so sorry if you have trouble understanding.
I'm on the same boat as you, seems illogical though. Its ur/a person's choice to believe God exist or not
personally i don't think he exist but i do worship him
so why are you creating them in the first place? what's the point of making everything completely perfect? why doesn't school let every student pass the exam, so that they can have a future? you're thinking pretty dumb here.May I ask you a question. If you were a God or Goddess and you created life in your image would you not want to help guide your children? Would you not want them to know for a exact fact that you exist? I would, I would not want my children who i created in my image to wonder blindly with only faith to guide them, going to war for centuries and killing innocents in my name.
