Actually you have a point here. Kakashi blatantly chose favorites amongst his students.

In part 1, he blatantly favored Sasuke. He taught Sasuke chidori and had Sasuke copy Lee's speed. What did he teach Naruto and Sakura? Nothing! (Except how to climb trees in Naruto's case).

In part 2, he finally taught Naruto something. That was about his chakara nature (something he taught Sasuke 3 years ago!).

What about Sakura? Still nothing!!!!!!

About the failing points, trying is better than nothing, very few people complains on Hinata doing nothing when she stood for Naruto and pain, made him awaken the fox maybe, but she still failed. Or it might be because I was late joining and never see that.

About the points "Any medic can do that" well she might be the only medic who done something, why didn't the rest of medics do something? She took the role. You know.
