Give credit where credits due!!!

I just read a smd thread. And I just wanna know,why don't ppl give credit where it's due.
If a character strong then their strong. But if they don't like that character,they go out of their way to show how this person weak or how they became strong being a pull.
I mean I don't really like certain characters but I'll admit they're strong.
A lot ppl use "but if this" in their arguments but a lot would've been different from that but if.

Wouldn't it just be easier to just admit a person strong then make excuses to why their weak?
