Well I will stick to what I actually know about it.
Satan's flame is basically a medium to extend you range during tai battle with the help of fire and not to mention because of fire it get's a greater damage dealing capacity too, The user of satan's flame can basically engulf his entire body in flame and use it as defense mechanism when is close combat battle or fighting a wind user and at the same time we can use that flame to deal damage, We can also concentrate are fire in specific area and thus make it more condensed and deal a large damage to the opponent and causing third degree burns to him.
How I would like to use it
Well I would also like to use it as speed enhancer in battle, I am talking about Tsuna's fighting style here we can basically shoots condensed flame from our hand or legs and use to either fly or makes us travel small distances like 3-5 meter in a mere second and thus in a close combat battle it becomes even more handy, We can even pass chakra in our leg's and shoot out continuous flame to fly in air all in all satan's flame is quite handy.

I simply go and sit in the middle of the bond and simply start to calm myself having gone through the calming technique more then once in my Ninja life It comes easy to me so I start loosen up my body and not to mention my chakra flow, I start to easen up my flow and then remove all thoughts from my brain and then concentrate on my chakra flow and slowly start to release it out of my body in for m of flames which surround me.

Good very well now that your chakra is now following you need to do some strength work out while maintaining that flow,pick up le boulder over there*points to it* and now you must run up that mountain and back 3 times in DETAIL ill have Itachi keep an eye on your chakra flow to see :3 if you fail you will be blasted with my cannon*points at cannon* and will reapeat it till you get right

I simply pick up a boulder and place it on my shoulder and then keeping my chakra flow in control, I start to run around the mountain and keeping a constant check on chakra flow I simply complete my first and because of my intense training with Taiketsu for Kei-Sekken I don't even feel a single bit of tiredness and complete the next two round with ease.

Feet- Of course it will be helpful while kicking and all that stuff
Palms-Open thrust attack or to release a condensed form of fire to shoot towards enemy at mid range
Finger Tips- Quite useful again we can use it to pass chakra in swords and other tools not to mention
Fists-Again for direct attack in melee fight and to increase the damage power
Head- Classics style head knock on head and putting his head and hair on fire xd

I start to focus on my katon chakra and pass it into my hands and legs then I go to a nearby practice dummy and start to deliver a series of knock to him, I first deliver a open palm thrust on his chest followed a chop attack in his neck area and ending the tyrant by a closed fist attack on his chin thus completely setting the dummy on fire. Burn it Up O_O
I then approach to a second dummy and start to hop on my leg and use my right leg to deliver several strikes in his abdomen area and followed by a kick on his knee by my left leg and I deliver the final knock by a spin kick on his head using my right leg.

I can't strike like them they are much more agile and flexible in my comparison mate and not to mention fast too. xd

I start to channel my Katon chakra on my fingertips and set my finger tips on fire and then remembering my fight with a Hyuga I gain a firm stance and then fixing my lower part of dummy I start to strike a training dummy in his vital point's and then completely set him on fire.

I concentrate on my fire chakra and release a blue color fire out of my head[I hope it does not burn my hair O_O] and using my shape manipulation skills I manipulate that fire into a layer of fire around my head and then I approach the tree at great pace and head butt the tree and create a great carter on it's oak and set on fire and it slowly burns to ashes.
To what extent can we use satans flame in free form man, I would like you to clarify it too me as it has a lot of practical use O_O
