If I was in that situation, I'd try to focus on why you broke up with your ex in the first place, and why the person you have now is better. If you truly believe you made a mistake and that your ex is better, then you should end it with your current girlfriend and try to piece things with your ex.

Tbh, it's better not to go back to exes. If you were meant to be together, you wouldn't have broken up in the first place.
