[Spoilers] Gildarts? Ten wizard saints?

After this weeks chp what markarov said got me thinking he said jura would even be a match for gildarts after he put up a power of 8544 in The Mpf that being said is Gildarts one of the strongest people in the series ? makarov basicallly impllied that gildarts is easily ten wizard saints level and He is a SS class wizard so anything is possible what do you guys think ?

i cant comment really as im only on ep 96 or sumthing like that cant wait to fully catch up tho im at the part where natsu fights gildarts in the s class wizards exam and gildarts jus let out some power that made him look like h was goin super sayin and i was like yep finally past the opening shiz is gonna start gettin real from here on out

I loved Cana's turn. And it's a good thing Erza went when she did; I doubt she'd be able to muster up magic power, as her ability is mostly summoning and weilding meelee weapons.

its so crazy to see how strong jura is but the thing thats so crazy he said he was the weakest of the ten wizard saints but that was before the time skip.

Yes Gildarts is definately one of the strongest characters in the manga.

Gildarts is freaking strong and awesome, if it was for me, he would be leading the 10 saints. ^^

and Cana & Erza showed Fairy Tail's true strength, and i loved the look on Laxus's face when he saw Orga's black lightning power.

I think that clearly he is at this level if not higher but if you have read the manga or seen the anime, then you will see that he does not care for such things like being titled one of the 10 Wizard Saints.

He just wants to do his own thing really.

Gildartz is easily Ten Holy Mages material. I'd say he's stronger than Jura as well, from what we've seen.

Yea i feel like they underplayed his strength a little from the start making it seem like laxus mystogan and erza where even close to him no he would own them..... he travels the freakin world no to mention stregth and knowledge 'he just a way more exp then most s class mages in general. im sure he's stumble across alot of cool ass magic... and on the subject of jura Gildarts has the perfect type of magic to deal with juras rock....

He won't be recognized because of his nomadic nature and he doesn't feel like excelling in guild politics.
