Looks: Gildarts is a tall and muscular man with shoulder-length reddish orange hair, which is kept slicked back, and some stubble around his mouth and on his chin. His heavily muscular body suffered many injuries due to many battles in the past. Gildarts’ attire is simple and practical, consisting of a dark, tattered cape over his bare chest, with a high collar and armoured plates on the shoulders, held closed by a belt and usually covering his whole figure, and loose dark pants, complete with an armoured waist-guard with plates similar to the ones on his shoulders, tucked inside simple boots.
Personality: Gildarts is an easy-going and laid-back person. He's also warm-hearted and kind, and has great interest and faith in the new generation. He is well respected by mostly everyone he know's. He also appears to be a bit absent-minded and oblivious, and apparently doesn't pay attention to what he's doing, such as not recognizing people he know's, or something obvious. He also has a tendency to break through walls in order to pass, rather than simply using the door.
When he enters a fight, he often points out that he is bad at and dislikes holding back, and most made it clear that Gildarts is well known for obliterating his opponents. When fighting, Gildarts would often employ exclusively hand-to-hand combat while using Jutsu to destroy things other than humans. Gildarts is also quite a womanizer, having been with at least 13 women since leaving his (now deceased) wife 18 years ago. (lol).

|Taijutsu Specalist|
Gildarts has always been gifted in Taijutsu, since he was a child. Because of this, he trained in taijutsu similar to how Lee did. Very intense training in taijutsu and Physical Fitness became something Gildarts did on the regular Basis. He's mastered every basic Taijutsu technique. And due to this he eventually became a taijutsu master. Creating his own form of Taijutsu called Kung Fu, which is based off of a very Ancient fighting style.

|Advanced Senses|
Gildarts didn't grow up in a home. He lived in the wilderness when he was young. He hunted, fished, and scouted allot throughout the night and day. Due to this he developed advanced senses, basically tool's he needed to survive. Similar to Kakashi Hatake, Gildarts has an advanced sense of hearing, smell, touch, and vision. Of course his vision is nowhere near perception of a doujutsu, but it would be considered better than great for a normal person.

Gildarts started using genjutsu at about the young age of nine years old. He learned it based off of experience in a previous battle, and that quick caught on to the function. He began to use it more and more as an upper hand strategy in battles. He found it as one of the most useful type of jutsu a ninja could use, so he kept the skill close. And it developed over standards.

A style of Chinese martial arts known for its gripping techniques, system of joint locks, takedowns, and pressure point strikes, which is representative of Chinese grappling known as Chin Na.

A concept-based Chinese martial art and form of self-defense utilizing both striking and grappling while specializing in close-range combat.

Quickly after the knee in the face the user completely spins around while infusing his leg with chakra, you will see the chakra surrounding the users leg, this is how much power is put in to the final blow. The user kicks the opponents torso in the desired location with sheer force. This will knock the life out of any opponent an send the flying, and may even go through a weak enough opponent.
*Can only be attempted twice in one battle.

Description: In a close range battle, or during hand to hand combat, the user will pull both of his/her arm's back while squatting as if he were pulling back a samurai sword. While this is happening the user is focusing massive amounts of chakra within each arm. In a split second the user will thrust his/her arm's forward with great force with the bottom of the wrists together and the hands open (second knuckle's bent down). When you're hands make impact with the target the concentrated chakra is released at the same time, this causes a fierce impact that could even level Doton.
*Can only be used once per battle.
*Cannot use your hands for anything in the next two turns, including handseals.

Others emphasize defense over offense, noting that nearly all techniques in Long Fist forms are counters to attacks. Long Fist uses large, extended, circular movements to improve overall body mobility in the muscles, tendons, and joints. Where he then delivers a strong kick to the opponents side, connecting his shin to opponents rib cage. The user then dashes around the opponent again, back to front and kicks them dead in the chest with a chakra infused foot. Quickly incapacitating the opponent or among certain situations brings upon death.

Description: The user begins by doing cartwheel into a high spinning corkscrew kick which he uses to jump over the opponent, ending up behind them. After the user successful lands behind them he begins backflipping into the opponent. The users puts his hands on the ground and flips backwards, successfully driving their feet into the opponents head. The user will do approximately 5-8 kicks and the last part ends with the user quickly flipping over the opponent again and placing one hand on the ground and kicks the opponent dead in their chin sending them backwards. With each kick the opponent gets pushed back, and with the last kick ends up in mid-range.
Note:The user can do however many kicks he likes with the maximum of 8.
* After the technique has been executed, the user is in pain from the strain it put on his legs and back. Slowing his movements down.

Background Info.
History: Gildarts Clive was actually born in Konohagakure. His parents were considered acceptable shinobi. Gildarts grew up with his parents, his father tended to push Gildarts harder than he had ever trained, his father knew the outcome. Gildarts especially trained in two specific area's, earth jutsu, and taijutsu. Out of hard training, Gildarts passed the Chuunin exams with flying colors.
Gildarts wasn't the type to stay hanging around the village all the time. He wanted to get out and see the world for more than what he was getting. His father grew angry with him day by day as Guildarts mentioned leaving for a while. This was around the age of 14. It got to the point where Guildarts couldn't take it anymore, he spoke to his mother, and ended up leaving the village, not for good, he promised his return.
For a while, he had nowhere to live so he basically lived off the land, and in the wilderness. He hunted for his own food and searched for his own water. Due to being in the wilderness alone for so long, he developed advanced senses. He also had allot of time to himself to train in specific area's that he needed to work on. This is a type of training experience that many people don't usually get to go through, he was training himself.
Of course it is always dangerous alone out there traveling alone. So he ran into many dangerous ninja, and rogues. Not many of them were a challenge at all to Gildarts, yet there were a couple. In one long battle against five rogue ninja, Gildarts ran into something he'd never seen before. He was placed under an illusion.
Now in a short period of time, it was easy for Gildarts to realize this was an illusion, and he figured out how it worked. Of course it wasn't a very strong Genjutsu at all, so the rogues ended up being defeated. But Gildarts looked into this genjutsu thing, and eventually got the hang of it himself. Developing many of his own genjutsu, using it as a strategy in many battles to come. This was at about the age of 20, when Gildarts decided to head back home.
He returned to Konoha, where he was invited with a warm welcome, and heartbreaking news. Before he got back, the attack of the Nine Tail's had already happened. Both of his parents were killed in the battle. After figuring this out, Gildarts decided to visit his old home. It seemed like everything was just the way it should have been.
Gildarts is the type of guy who believes in fate, his only regret was not being there to see his parents in their last day's. He believes in fate, and everything happens for a reason. So he had to move on, and he damn sure wasn't staying in Konoha. Though his visit's after that became more frequent. Now that he found a place there with people he can talk to, and where he can be loved, a guild.
Gildarts still goes on his long traveling trips. And over time he just keeps getting stronger, and his understanding over everything begins to grow.
