How do you send gifts without having to send a private message as well?

I always have to but some of my friends send me gifts with no PM. They arent premium users or anything either.

Gifts are Private Messages incorporated with a gift, its just like having an award received as a PM or receiving Kumis and notified in a PM. Private Message is a way to notify the user that you have received a gift from a certain user and this is what he/she said. In NB we dont have separate notification for each element since it will be a hassle.. This way you could send, write and be notified at the same time.
