It's been a long road to the live-action Ghost in the Shell movie, or maybe it just seems that way because it's actually coming out and there's been plenty of news about its production. We still have to wait until March 31, 2017 to see how director Rupert Sanders (Snow White and the Huntsman) and his crew and cast—which includes Scarlett Johansson in the lead—handle the property, but now we have some more visual evidence.
Paramount Pictures debuted a series of five teaser videos last night, including multiple quick scenes of Johansson as the Major, with one in particular closely mimicking a scene from Mamoru Oshii's 1995 Ghost in the Shell anime film. You'll also see a bit of Beat Takeshi as Daisuke Aramaki in one of the videos below.
