How it works

Its powerful. No hand signs required. You don't have to use the beast human clone technique.
Disadvantage
Short range. When you are spinning in mid air your vulnerable to attacks. Its a one time hit.
How would you defend yourself from this jutsu.
Use an strong earth jutsu. Use a wind jutsu to blow them back. Block out their senses with a jutsu.

For the genjutsu part, it really depends on what kind of genjutsu you would use. When you are combined in the two headed wolf I would say that it is possible to trap you in a genjutsu. You are one single entity, but with two brains, therefore you need to make sure you use a genjutsu where you can at least trap two opponents imo. Though, if you trap one of the two heads in a genjutsu it will be enough to slow the whole wolf down or at least make it harder on them to avoid being hit by jutsus for one of them will be confused/trapped by the genjutsu.
As for the spinning, it again depends on what genjutsu you use. For some genjutsus you will need eye contact, that will not work when your opponent is spinning. The way genjutsus work is a rapid wave of chakra that will cause disturbance in the chakra flow to the opponent's head and they will thus be trapped in a genjutsu. The genjutsu has to be fast enough to trap the opponent whilst spinning with high velocity towards you, and probably not even in a straight line towards you. Therefore I think it is possible to be trapped in a genjutsu whilst spinning, but it has to be explained by the opponent exactly how you would be trapped in the genjutsu, otherwise you have too many points to prove them wrong.
Moreover, many genjutsus are highly unlikely when you are spinning through the air, take for example the genjutsu where you sink into the ground and butterflies will be everywhere and all. The chance that that happens whilst you spin towards the opponent with high velocity is too small to even consider, therefore you will know it is a genjutsu and probably have enough time to react before it has any real effect.
In other words, your opponent has to explain the situation very well for it to actually happen, and even if it does happen, there is in 7/10 cases a way out if you think about it.

First, perform Dynamic Marking and Man Beast Transformation. Then take a few steps to gain enough velocity where after you start spinning towards the opponent. You're spinning so fast that you cannot really see what is happening around you, therefore the Dynamic Marking. This enables you to track the opponent so that you don't miss them. And even if you miss them they still will take damage on close range.
